EDGE SEALS

Kambio Corporation offers the following Edge Seals:

KRYSTALFLEX® PE 900 is designed for use by glass laminators to seal the edges of multilayer composites made from glass or glass /plastic components.  KRYSTALFLEX® PE 900 is available in a variety of widths. Custom widths are available on request. Master rolls may be purchased in 40 in (1m) wide by 120 feet (36.5m ) long.

Stevens Urethane SecurSeal ST-3199-ES is a multi-layer polyurethane tape designed as a protective covering when laminated to the edge of transparent security laminates.  Stevens Urethane SecurSeal ST-3199-ES is adaptable to all conventional glass laminating processes and it comes in a variety of widths.

PEEL PLIES

BLEEDER LEASE B - Premium release coated nylon. Bleeder Lease® peel plies are high temperature fabrics coated with a silicone release agent. Bleeder Lease® products provide superior release to plain peel plies because the coating prevents the heated fabric from fusing to the laminate while still producing a textured surface. Bleeder Lease® materials will provide easy release from most prepregs and resin systems.  All coated peel plies have the potential to transfer. Kambio Corporation also offers:

POLYCARBONATE

We offer a wired variety of Polycarbonate sheets of various sizes and thicknesses. Among the most commonly requested:

Lexan® Margard® HLG5 sheet, Lexan® Margard® HLG5 is a transparent 1-side hardcoated lamination grade offering excellent optical properties for lamination with glass in mainly asymmetrical bullet resistant security glazing panels.

Lexan® Sheet ULG 1003, is a transparent lamination grade offering excellent optical properties for lamination with glass in mainly symmetrical security glazing panels. • Can be specified to match specific levels of threat. • Excellent optical clarity.

Lexan® MR 101 Sheet Mar/UV-resistant sheet combines the impact strength of Lexan polycarbonate sheet with a proprietary abrasion/UV resistant surface that approaches glass in performance.

Lexan® 9034 uncoated polycarbonate sheet is the standard grade of LEXAN sheet for transparent protective glazing. High-impact LEXAN 9034 sheet can be utilized for primary glazing, or on either side of existing glazing for economical protection against breakage or intrusion. A better insulator than glass, LEXAN 9034 sheet contributes to lower energy costs.

MAKROLON®CQ polycarbonate sheet is a clear, polished surface, UV stabilized sheet for use in premium visual applications. Offering high performance coupled with excellent optical clarity, MAKROLON CQ polycarbonate sheet meets or exceeds the physical properties of any product in its class. This superior performance is backed by a comprehensive product warranty.

MAKROLON®AR polycarbonate sheet is an abrasion and UV resistant sheet that offers glass-like surface hardness coupled with the impact strength of polycarbonate. Additionally, MAKROLON AR polycarbonate sheet offers resistance from yellowing and hazing for longer service life in high profile applications.

All of these Polycarbonate sheets come in thicknesses of 3mm, 4.5mm, 6mm and other. These sheets also come in a variety of sizes. The most common are 4’ x 8’, 5’ x 8’, 6’ x 8’

POLYURETHANES

KRYSTALFLEX PE399 is a high performance aliphatic polyether film intended for processing by lamination into range of glass / polycarbonate / arcylic components.

Sierracin 1013 Sierracin TransTech manufactures and sells high quality polyurethane sheet materials for the lamination of dissimilar materials via an autoclave laminating process.

Stevens AG8451 is a 75 shore A polyether polyurethane with low haze and high light transmittance. This aliphatic has an UV stabilizing package and enhanced adhesion promotion. AG8451 is suitable for roller tack or vacuum lamination.

All of these Polyurethane rolls come in thicknesses of .015”, .025” , .050”, .075” and 1”. These come rolls of 40” to 60” wide

SEALANT TAPES

Our complete line of vacuum bag sealant tapes seal easily to nylon film or other types of vacuum bags. These sealant tapes are designed to stick to the vacuum bag yet remove cleanly from metal or composite tools. Some of the sealant tapes that we offer are:

PRESSURE SENSITIVE TAPES

Kambio Corporation offers Flashbeakers, multipurpose tapes for oven or
autoclave cures to 400° F (204° C). Adhesive varieties include silicone or
rubber in standard tack or high tack formulas. Tooltec & Teflease are our
release tapes designed to cover an entire tool surface so release agent is
never needed. Airhold double backed tapes for multipurpose use or holding
down honeycomb for machining. Wrightcast 8500 PS is a Nylon tape with rubber
adhesive. This tape has long elongation and is very strong. Econobreaker is
an inexpesive multi-purpose tape. Airkap is a high temperature use polymide
tape, up to 750° (395° C).
